How to Donate Online with Adventist Giving

Adventist Giving is a secure website you can use from your computer, tablet, or smart phone to give your donations anytime by credit or debit card.

This service is provided by the Adventist church as an alternative for people who prefer to give electronically instead of by cheque or cash. You can give any time, day or night. This guide will help get you started.

The Short Version

1 - Visit www.hamptonsda.ca/donate on your computer or smartphone.

2 - Fill in the digital envelope with the amounts you want to give to tithe, church budget, etc.

3 - Fill in your name and address. (Register if you want to be able to log in and have your name & address automatically filled in the next time you give.)

4 - Enter your debit or credit card information. (You can optionally save your card info for future donations.)

5 - Verify the information and submit your donation. You'll get an email after it has been processed.

The Long Version

Visit the church website at www.hamptonsda.ca and click the "Online Giving" link in the top menu. When you click the link, you will be taken to the AdventistGiving.org website. Take note that the Maranatha church's name and address is shown on the page.

(For the rest of this guide, the desktop computer screens will be shown, but the features are still available on a smart phone.)

At the top of the form, you will see two links, one for One-Time Donation, and another for Recurring Donation. The donation form is on One-Time Donation by default, but you can select Recurring Donation if you would like to have your donations given automatically on a regular basis (i.e. every week, every 2 weeks, twice a month, or once a month). If you set up a Recurring Donation, you will be prompted in later steps to create an account and save your credit or debit card details so the automatic transaction can take place.

Some common offerings like Tithe and Church Budget are already shown on the form. If you want to make a donation to one that isn't shown, you can click the More Offering Categories link at the bottom of each section to see if it is available.

Fill in the amounts next to the offerings you want to give. There is a total at the bottom that will add everything up for you. Once you have filled in the form, click the Continue button at the bottom to go to the next step.

In the next step, you can identify yourself so that you can receive a tax-deductible form at the end of the year. You have 3 options:

1 - Log In. If you have used Adventist Giving before and created an account, you will be prompted to enter your email address and password.

2 - Register. If you don't have an account, you can create one by providing your email address, address, and a password of your chosing. Be sure to select a password that is hard for others to guess!

3 - Guest. You can fill in your name and address, but it won't be remembered for you. If you want to give again in the future, you'll need to enter your name and address again.

 

In the next step, you will provide your credit or debit card information that will be used to make the donation. Click the New Credit/Debit Card button and fill in the requested information. If you just registered an account, then there is a Save for Later checkbox that you can select if you don't want to enter this information again. If you have logged in with an existing account and you saved your payment method, then you can select it from the list shown.

 

Finally, you will be given an opportunity to review your offering amounts and confirm your name and address. Click the Confirm Payment button at the bottom to complete your donation. You will receive an email shortly afterwards with confirmation that your donation was processed.

Give Online
